Crazy

Crazy....that is the only word I can use to describe our weekend! Although I love love going to visit Lubbock/Levelland there just isn't enough time to do all that we want to do! Especially when we have a new baby that so many people have not see yet! Needless to say the weekend was packed full of visits and the kids being drug in and out of the car. VERY stressful! I would give my left arm to be able to move there.....and SOON!! Matt has been on a few interviews for jobs in Lubbock and one in particular seems pretty promising! We are holding our breath and crossing our fingers that he gets it! I would love for my summer to be filled with packing and moving! I would....really....no sarcasm here!!

Here is the proud big sister holding Aubry! She begs and begs to hold her...but....she isn't the most careful person around the baby...lets just say she takes after her daddy in that she is like a bull in a china closet, and I cringe anytime she is remotely close to the baby. So this picture has captured the rare occurrence of her holding Aubry.

She is getting so big! And perfect in every way!  The doctor says she is the size of a 3 month old....YIKES! Nothing like her brother and sister!! Since birth Aubry has had a noise with her breathing. I isn't something that is constant but it sounds like she is snoring. Even when she is awake sometimes she does it. But I have noticed that it is mostly when she is really relaxed and sometimes her breathing stops for a few seconds.  Scary to a mom like me who is TERRIFIED of SIDS! A problem with her breathing isn't something I want to screw around with! So after a referral to a ear nose and throat doctor and she thinks she has laryngomalacia...look it up.  It happens sometimes in babies and is something they grow out of but just to be safe she is going in tomorrow to have a scope run down her throat just to see what is going on in there! Now I'm not a worrier until it has been labeled "surgery" by the hospital. And and actual "surgeon" will do the procedure. THAT worries the shit out of me! But I'm sure everything is going to be ok! Just say an extra little prayer for her tomorrow....and maybe me too...I think I might need it! ha!

We have been out of town for the past two weekends and looks like we are leaving again this weekend... and it seems like I am spinning my wheels all week just to get ready to go again. Getting home and the aftermath of a weekend away is exhausting for one person...laundry...unpacking...grocery shopping...it is tough. But I'm just trucking along! This whole 3 kids thing is hard....just yesterday Matt was out of town for work...overnight. So last night i loaded the kids up for Ty's baseball game and when we got home my phone rang! I got a call from one of my dearest friends that I have not talked to in months soo I couldn't hang up....I wanted to talk to her really bad! So I had food for the kids just to find we were locked out of the house...so while on the phone I had to get Ty to climb in the window and unlock the door. Feed the kids. feed the screaming baby. And try to hold an adult conversation all at the same time! YIKES! I did it! And thank God she has 3 kids of her own so she knows the caous that goes on! Ha! But then it was bath time for the older two....bedtime...and since I am trying like hell to establish a routine for Aubry I put her in the bath and was up until 10:30 trying to get her to sleep. Needless to say I was spent....and finally got to eat my burger about 11:00. But hey....at least I got to eat. I was almost tooo tired! ha!

I'm sure I will get it down..its just hard sometimes because Matt isn't always here to "tag team" with me....but if he was here more often I wouldn't get to be the stay at home mom that I am....sooo.....I can deal :)!

I will leave with this picture that I think is HILARIOUS...Aubry looks drunk!

A Few Thoughts...

I have a few things on my mind.....just a few....
  • Since the camping excursion I have YET to get all of the laundry done or put away the things just "dumped" from the trailer to the living room...and its driving me NUTS!
  • I have yet to get Aubry on a schedule or get her to where I can just put her in her bed and her go right off to sleep on her own...and its driving me NUTS!
  • Raegan will not quit saying "WHAAAAT" at EVERYTHING I say, and stupid ol' me I just repeat myself until I get what she is doing...and its driving me nuts!
  • The diaper champ that is supposed to keep the stinky diaper smell to a minimum has failed me and it stinks! And no amount of Scentsy or candles can cover up the putrid smell. I guess I will have to break down and take the damn thing out. Lazy doesn't begin to describe it.
  • Matt has complained about how "tired" he is from the weekend. I think he is still recovered...I calculated it up and figured I got about 12 hours of sleep all 3 nights we were there....I'm exhausted....no naps or complaints....YET!
  • Raegan has taken to pinching and cramming random things into Aubry's mouth...and the momma bear in me is getting quite IRATE at the little 3 year old that is just trying desperately to get my attention.
  • I can not pay attention to my 3 year old because of above said things...too much to do!
  • We are supposed to go out of town this weekend and I dont want to go. Too much of a hassle. Too much preparation. Too much recuperation. But the time I can spend with my friends is soooo much more important!
  • My mother is driving me crazy. Im convinced she is slowly slipping into the world of an "old" woman. She is judgmental, cranky, and over analyzes anything she can. And she gripes at me because I am talking on the phone while resting it on my shoulder...which makes my voice muffled. She doesn't get that I need the use of both of my hands at ALL times...I have 3 kids for Pete's sake!
  • There is just no time in the day to get all of the cleaning and picking up done on top of feedings for a baby and entertaining of a 3 year old and 7 year old. I wish there was...I miss the free time I had with just 2.
  • I am worried about Aubry's appointment next Thursday. It is a simple procedeure but she is so little I cant help but worry....actually I am REALLY freaked out by it but will stay controlled and strong...I have to....if I dont Matt will get worked up if he see's me that way!
  • I miss playing in the floor with Raegan. Coloring and playing "pretend" with her.
  • I miss spending one on one time with Ty. Playing Wii or reading books.
  • I am worried at what the summer is going to bring with having 3 kids and trying to keep them all entertained and making if fun for them!
Time to go get Ty...but I'm sure I will have more to list in future posts!

May? REALLY?

I cant believe it is already May! Why is it that when you are looking forward to something time goes by sooo fast but when you are wanting time to stand still so that you can watch your babies grow...ever so slow....you look up and a month has gone by? Sheesh! Well in the past couple of weeks that I have not blogged not much has happened. Aubry turned one month old. Yep. It is breaking my heart one day at a time! She can focus and is getting sooo big! We went to her well check and she is already 23 inches long. @ whole inches longer than she was when she was born. She measured in the 90% for her height and weight! And since it was time for Raegans 3 year well check I just took her too for her checkup and she weighs only 3lbs more than last year and she is in the 20% for her height and weight! How does that happen? Two little girls...opposite ends of the spectrum! I guess I keep em'! ha! We also went camping this past weekend...wow what an experience! We borrowed my father in laws travel trailer and went to meet family for the yearly fishing trip to Lake Buchanan. Lets just say it was a fantastic trip for the kids and Matt...I basically could have done everything that I did there at home! It was pretty miserable but fun to watch the kids have so much fun! Watching after a baby 24/7 while camping is exhausting! Lesson learned!

Routine

Routine...the stay at home mom's favorite word! It makes the household such a better place when it is established....and I am trying sooo hard to establish one! It is so hard getting a 3 week old on board! She literally does EXACTLY what she wants. WTH? So as soon as I get her on MY terms I will be soo much happier! I try to get all of the things done in a day that I used to Loads of laundry, lunch, Nap for Raegan, pickup Ty on time, dinner, bed time and bath time, but it has not been going quite like that! As scatter brained as I usually am pre-baby I had certain times that I did everything and certain days that I tackled the chores around the house. Just yesterday I was showering at 3 in the afternoon, tripping over a pile of laundry, when my face NEVER sees makeup any more I was getting "gussied up" for something as lame as my son's baseball game (cause I NEVER leave the house), and even though the fam was fed pre-game I was grabbing dinner at 10pm. Its all a mess! I will feel somewhat "normal" again when our routine is established and I feel like it will give me more time to do fun things with Raegan instead of spinning my wheels to make it through the day! We will see if it happens! ha! This is my new favorite picture! Raegan is such the BIG SISTER! She is always right by my side when I have Aubry in my arms or on the changing table...eager and ready to lend a hand! Such the "helper"!

She is here...

Well...she is here! It has been 2 looooong weeks since the baby has arrived. Oh yes...the baby has a name!!! You ready? Aubry Dean Wittie...Aubry because Matt and I both agreed we like it, and Dean because that is Matt's grandmother's middle name and he just adores her...and so do I! So yeah...I have 3 kids now! and here is our newest addition Her first pic! She was a CHUNK! Brother and Sisters Matt's Mom Post surgery drunk on pain meds! ha! Getting Aubry ready to go home...never mind the cleavage! Ready to go!! A VERY anxious big sister!! So that about sums it up! My mom and dad were here through the week taking care of the kids and me too!! Everyone seems to be adjusting to the baby as well as expected..Raegan is "trying" to be a big helper! She is pretty onrey and wants constant attention from me! Besides the emotional/hormonal breakdowns from time to time and everything that goes along with recovery of surgery and having a baby....everything is great!! Ha! Aubry is an absolute dream...she is such a good baby. I was so nervous about having 3 kids but as long as you can juggle all of the household things, manage your time when she is asleep, and have help from Matt (when he is not out of town) its not too bad! She had her 2 week appointment on Monday and everything is great! She is weighing in at 9lbs 9oz! Eating 4oz every 4 hours. In the 97% for height and weight...the doctor talks about her like she is a GIANT! I think she is just perfect. And I am trying to savor every moment I have with her before she starts getting big...since this is the very last baby for us! On another note...baseball is in full swing and Ty is doing GREAT! He loves it! If I can just teach him to catch the ball and not try to dodge it we will be in business! He sure can knock the crap out of the ball!! And Raegan looks forward to going to the games cause she loves playing with some of the other kids there and being outside in general! Easter came and went...we did the typical Easter stuff. Color eggs, egg hunt, and dinner courtesy of my Mom. She made tons of stuff during the week and we had leftover roast! Ha! We pretended like I made it! ha! This weekend we are getting ready for Raegan's birthday. I cant believe she is going to be 3. Where does the time go?
